Beginner's Medical Tai Chi and Qi Gong Stress Reduction Class

Come to the Beginner’s Medical Tai Chi / Qi Gong Stress and Reduction Class for the Mind, Body and Spirit! This is a class that helps relieve stress, aches and pains while also building strength and balance.

We will work with your breath to help take your body out of “fight-or-fight mode” (the nervous system’s response to fear, stress or anxiety) and put your body and mind into relaxation mode, decreasing cortisol levels (the hormone that adds to abdominal fat), while also helping to lower blood pressure and increase quality of sleep.

The class starts with qi gong (stretching and breathing exercises) to warm up for the tai chi movements. There are technically 5 original tai chi forms or families. Dr. Ro’s influence comes from the Yang family tradition and is known as the Yang Tai Chi style, 1st 3rd. Can’t wait to see you there!
